Many clients arrange for their birth partner, parent or a friend to deliver the placenta on their behalf within 24 hours of birth occurring and then pickup the finished package. A keepsake print of the placenta and cord done on watercolor paper. Print is made prior to processing and uses only your blood (no paint or synthetic dyes of any kind). Choose, Heart, Swirl or "Love" cord design (subject to cord length) 11x14 size.
"SPROUTS SOIL" $75 processing
If ingesting isn't the plan or your placenta was deemed unsafe to be consumed, you may wish to plant a tree instead and this option allows for an easy and clean way to plant a tree in honor of your birth without needing to freeze it while you wait until spring. Your placenta is dehydrated, ground and blended with peat soil to be used to plant a tree, shrub or small garden bed. The nutrients in your placenta will help enrich the soil naturally. No need to save your placenta until you're ready to plant or worry about animals digging it up. Order includes a grow basket and compostable bag of peat moss/placenta blend for easy storage and use. Raw VS. Gentle Method (Traditional Chinese Method)
Raw Process: The placenta is not steamed prior to being sliced and dehydrated and therefore retains more vitamins and nutrients compared to that of the Traditional Chinese Method. Aside from nutrient retention benefits, this method also yields more capsules, on average. However, certain safety concerns exist and therefore, most common contraindicators include presence of meconium at birth (babies first stool), GBS positive results, STI/STD positive, Gestational Diabetes. Due to higher levels of cortisol this method is also not recommended for those who suffered from insomnia (not pregnancy related), diagnosed anxiety prior to pregnancy, or caffeine sensitivity prior to pregnancy.
Gentle Method (AKA: Traditional Chinese Method or Steam Method) : The placenta is steamed with fresh Lemon & Ginger and powdered Turmeric (antibacterial properties), sliced and then dehydrated. While this method will yield a slightly smaller number of capsules compared to the Raw process, it provides a lower hormonal load as well, making it the ideal process for those with anxiety (experienced prior to pregnancy). It will still provide all the same hormonal benefits but will be less potent due to steaming. It also is the ideal method to avoid any potential bacterial risk from presence of meconium/fecal matter at birth, GBS infection or other STI/STD diagnosis of the mother. This method will still allow for a tincture as the alcohol within the tincture sterilizes any bacteria.
